- Transportation buses to the start line all depart Charlottetown at 8:00 am sharp from the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Queen Street Entrance (Theatre Box Office).
- Buses will remain at the Brackley Beach Complex for participants to remain on until the start time if desired.
- Plenty of parking is available at the Brackley Beach Complex parking lot within the Prince Edward Island National Park.
- Washrooms and change room facilities are available at the start location
- Water will be provided at the start line
- Race starts at 9:00 am – participants will be called to the start line at 8:50 am
- Wear your race number (bib) on the front of your shirt. For your own safety, list important medical and contact information on the back
- The Tim Hortons bus will be the drop off location for your personal belongings at the start line. Loose items will not be accepted -- please place your personal belongings in either a personal bag or the race kit bag you received at registration and pin your “luggage tag” from your race bib on it. After the race, you may pick up your bag at the information desk inside the Confederation Centre of the Arts -- you will need your race bib as identification. All bags must be checked by 8:45 am and picked up immediately after you finish the race
- Distances are measured in kilometers and distance markers will be available every kilometer on the course. All marathon and half marathon participants will be given a gun time and a net time.
- Unofficial Race results will be posted at the finish line when available behind the timing trailer.
- Be sure to wear your ChampionChip timing chip (instructions will be provided at pick up). A volunteer will recover your chip at the finish line. A replacement fee of $40 will be charged to you if it is not returned
- Any discarded items along the course will not be able to be returned. Aid stations on course will not accept items from participants including clothing items, water bottles, etc.
- Water: 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 21, 23, 25(Suffolk Rd.), 28.5(Covehead Rd.), 31.5, 34, 35.5, 37.5, 40K
Gatorade: on all stops from 7.5 (inclusive) to the finish Power Gels: 25K (Suffolk Rd.) Sponges: 21, 31.5, and 40K Toilets: Start (Brackley Beach Complex), 5K, 21K, 35K, 40K - All marathon runners will be provided given both a net time and a gun time finish time.
- A split time mat will be available at the half marathon point on the left shoulder. Please be sure to run over the mat if you wish to receive your split time
- While running on the Confederation Trail, please allow room for faster runners to pass on your left and when passing, please make your intentions known
- Medical Personnel are stationed at various locations and will be roaming the course throughout the race. If you are in distress, please inform a race official, marshal or volunteer immediately
- No unauthorized support cyclists, runners, dogs, strollers or baby joggers are permitted on the marathon course at any time
- Finish Line nutrition will include bagels, cookies, fruit, pizza, water and more!
- Post race shower facilities are available to participants at the Atlantic Fitness Centre on Garfield Street; please show your race bib for access
- Body Works will be providing complimentary min massages inside the Confederation Centre between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm only
- Awards for top finishers will be given at the Award Presentations on Sunday, October 15 at 4:00 pm at Memorial Hall at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Please join us in advance at 3:00 pm for a Post-Race Party with munchies and entertainment.
