Corporate/Team Relay

The 7th annual BMO Nesbitt Burns PEI Marathon is excited to announce some great changes to the Brown’s Volkswagen Corporate Relay. The changes to the legs were made for safety of all participants and better parking for the teams.

Also new this year we will be holding a team captains meeting prior to the event to review the changeover locations and answer any questions your team may have. Please note that the start time for the Brown’s Volkswagen Relay and MRSB Marathon has changed to 8 am at the Brackley Beach complex. Buses are available to transport the 1st member of your team and leaves from the Confederation Centre of the Arts at 7 am on Sunday, October 17th.

Course Overview:

Teams of up to 8 persons (from your office or friends) will work together to complete a marathon by running or walking the various designed legs of the relay course. Each of the 8 legs will vary in lengths from 2.7K up to 7.1K, your team members can choose the one that works best for them. All legs of the Corporate Relay are clearly marked along the Marathon Route.

Leg 1            6.5K            From the Marathon Start line at Brackley to Ross Lane.

Leg 2            5.5K            From Ross Lane to park entrance at Dalvay.

Leg 3            7.1K            From park entrance at Dalvay to Millcove Rd.

Leg 4            5.9K            From Millcove Rd to Suffolk Rd. trail intersection.

Leg 5             3.7K            From Suffolk Rd. trail intersection to York Rd. trail intersection.

Leg 6            2.7K            From York Road trail intersection to Union Road along the Confederation Trial.

Leg 7            5.6K            From Union Rd. trail intersection to Superior Cres.

Leg 8            5.2K            From Superior Cres. to the Marathon Finish Line on the corner of University Ave and Grafton Street.

Team registration is $500 plus GST and includes:

  • A dri-fit marathon shirt for all team members

  • Participant bibs with team name for all members

  • Finishing medal for each participant.

  • So much FUN!

The team that finishes first will also receive a gold medal and engraved trophy to use for bragging rights!
