Thank-You to all Pace Bunnies!!!!
Get Cracking Pace Bunnies are individuals who have a goal to finish their race in a specific time and therefore will pace accordingly. Our pace bunnies will be identified and their time posted on their back. All pacers will keep a constant pace and will not be following a 10:1 system.

Training Guides: These training guides are developed as a guideline and it is recommended that you consult your doctor or physician before begining any rigorous training program. You may want to seek the assistance of a coach to tailor a training schedule specifically for you.

The PEI Marathon Organizing Committee is proud to offer, throughout the year, general training tips through our Official Coach, Jack Heely.
Our hope is to help make your experience at our events (5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, Marathon and Corporate Relay) even more enjoyable and rewarding.
Many of you may currently be preparing for a marathon, a half marathon, or other race. Others are likely putting in maintenance miles in preparation for training cycles to begin closer to the event/ Regardless of where you are in your training process, feel free to contact Coach Heely with your training questions.
For others, this may be your first race. We've all been there before and know that there are always many questions which come up. We encourage you to discuss your questions with The Coach. There are really no 'dumb' questions. If you are truly interested in getting the most out of your race day experience Coach Jack is here to help you now, and perhaps even in a pace group on race day!!

About the Coach:
Coach Jack Heely is a RRCA-Certified running coach with Great Strides, LLC. Coach Heely has been an avid sportsman all his life. For over 35 years he has played and coached adult and youth soccer. He has also played basketball, cricket and of course, he is a dedicated runner, having completed over 30 marathons and 7 ultra marathons. He has been an official marathon pacer with several marathons. Coach Heely is ready to help you!
