Visitor Information

Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island has proven to be a great place for a marathon. It's a great place, period. A stunning little island cradled in the waves of the Gulf of St. Lawrence that combines historic charm with a modern sensibility.

So if you're planning to participate, you're likely to enjoy your pre and post-marathon time as much as the event itself. And if you're traveling with friends or family who aren't runners, not to worry. There is plenty for them to enjoy while you're occupied with the marathon.

The Government of Prince Edward Island maintains a web site to assist visitors who plan to visit the Island. Tourism PEI is a great resource for anyone who is coming "from away" for the BMO Nesbitt Burns Prince Edward Island Marathon.

City of Charlottetown

Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island is Canada's Birthplace. It was here that the founding fathers gathered for the Charlottetown Conference. The discussions led

to the union of all British North America into one country which eventually became Canada. Vist the official City of Charlottetown web site as well as Visit Charlottetown, which are key planning tools for anyone making a visit to the city.
